Well hello there! I’m Lynne and I live in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Welcome to my wee shop on Folksy.
My first memories of crafting are from early primary school age when I remember Mum teaching me to knit and “rescuing” many a dropped stitch for me while we’d both be knitting on the sofa. My love of sewing began with lessons at school and when I was 18, I bought my first sewing machine. I made some clothes, fancy dress outfits for my kids and curtains on this machine but as my children grew up and life got busier, my machine was stashed away in a cupboard. Until about 7 years ago, when the first of our beautiful grandchildren was about to arrive! Then out came the sewing machine again, but this time, I decided to make a patchwork quilt for each of them and this is when Tots Gear and The Sewing Bothy began. I invested in extensive one-to-one sewing lessons and am now full time self-employed and absolutely loving being my own boss.
My sewing business has also included machine embroidery.
I use quality Cotton and jersey cotton fabrics that are fun and colourful… my absolute favourite
Oh, and that is my fabulous wee dog Kessa in the background! She’s a Japanese spitz. When I’m not walking Kessa or working, then you’ll probably find me on the golf course!

Absolutely great peg bag - can fit far more in than I expected with 80 pegs and still some space left at the moment. It stands well on its own and the hanging tab means it hangs open at a slight angle making it easier to grab pegs out while hanging the washing. Great bag!
